WE DENOUNCE THE DEFAMATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY by THE CHRISTIAN ACTION NETWORK!
We are deeply saddened by the documentary film “Sacrificed Survivors” (released by Christian Action Network) that on its cover depicts the Republic of Turkey and Turkish nation as supporter of terrorism and even responsible for the tragic event of September 11. The makers of the movie defend their action by citing recent political developments in Turkey which brings their intention to question. We believe that the production has provocative and offensive elements, will function as an unfortunate example of defamation of a nation, and never contribute to peaceful coexistence. We hope and expect that the producing organization will correct this unfortunate mistake.
Since the tragedy of 9-11 the Republic of Turkey worked alongside the United States to fight against terrorism. Turkey remains a military and political ally of the United States, a strong member of NATO, and a candidate for European Union membership.
As the Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians we are committed to advancing the US-Turkey relations and promote and encourage continuing good relationship and understanding between American and Turkish peoples through our affiliate organizations.
Because of this we are denouncing the defamation of the Republic of Turkey by the Christian Action Network!
