Congressional Leaders and Employees Trips
These trips serve to forge bonds of lasting friendship between Americans and Eurasians by identifying what it is we have in common by learning to appreciate and honor our differences, and by collaborating on mutually beneficial projects.
Though hailing from different ethnic backgrounds, we find common ground through our travels in which we share the same dining table. Americans are presented with the opportunity to network with new and lifelong friends as a way of strengthening even further our commitment to a global ethic of dialogue and mutual understanding.
The following specific objectives for the trips are:
- To introduce and provide broad exposure to the country's cultural, political, economic, and social issues
- To gain an understanding of topics including national security, foreign policy, trade, economic development & finance, remarkable achievements of the civil society, religious diversity and minority rights
- To promote mutual understanding through dialogue and discussion among the American participants and the local authorities / civil society
